Whisper is already sick of her crap and it&#8217;s like page negative five. Whisper is one of my favorite characters to write. I love the taciturn, snark, and unexpected dirty that comes from his mouth. Here, he&#8217;s just being a loyal friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou always say her name like that.\u201d Thea pouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHow do I say whose name?\u201d I ask carrying them to the couch and sitting down to get them on.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMichaela. You say it like it means something.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I look at her and raise my brows in disbelief. \u201cIt does mean something. Freedom. Friendship. Loyalty.\u201d I shake my head.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t say my name like that.\u201d she whinges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnd how do I say your name?\u201d I ask, not believing that this is a conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLike I\u2019m a pain in your butt.\u201d she childishly complains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou are a pain in the ass.\u201d I state, exasperated. \u201cI\u2019ve waited forever for you and you have only just started speaking to me.
