I am still trying to determine how I work on two projects without any major boo-boos, but I’ll take it. It’s like I’m suddenly touched by the gods with my ability to type, and I’d like to keep going with this trend, but alas, I’m about to head out on adventures.
What am I working on?
Well, I was restless, not writing. I get that way when I’m sitting on my hands and not doing anything but reading. Don’t get me wrong. I love to read, but there is only so much before I lose it and need to create, or the voices in my head get VERY loud. So I did a few early chapters of JUMPER. The only thing is I knew that taking this trip would interfere with my story flow, so I took a break to dabble with a novel I wrote in 2014 for NaNoWriMo.
I got it out, dusted it off, printed it out, and started a clean page on it. The story is called It Feels Like Home, an emotional YA novel on many levels with a good amount of levity when necessary.
On the first day of it, I wrote 5,075 words. It was easy to add to and came together quickly. I really loved this story, and it is exciting to bring it into the future; it is very dated.
JUMPER will be my main focus when May 1st rolls around. I will set this project aside and go back to Somnolence as it’s my goal to finish the series in time for Sultry in the City in August.
Likewise, in September, I’d like to have the magnet novelette for SHELBY done in time for Books at the Beach. I want to have ‘gimme’ paperbacks for people when they purchase books and QR codes for people to download as an intro to the world.
Are we excited yet?
