Books At The Beach Was Awesome!

I was at Books At The Beach for the third time this year. I can’t begin to express how much I love this event. The hostesses are just amazing, and the volunteers are amazing. It’s always pleasant and successful. Not to mention that I get to see friends and familiar faces that bring joy to my heart. Catching up with all these long-lost peeps is part of all the fun.

Not to mention, this year, I had not just my husband with me but my PA, Chanel Johnson. She kept me on the straight and narrow and was terrific with the people I couldn’t entertain while I was blessed to have a small crowd. She also held my books when I shipped two seventy-pound boxes her way until I got there.

I managed an incredible book and swag haul. Please note my goodies in my pics. They won’t be doing the event next year, but I look forward to 2026. If there is a sign-up, consider me signed up.

Sultry in the City Signing

Sultry in the City was a huge success!

I had a great time meeting great people, buying new books, and hearing more about Texas. I hope I left as good of an impression on the people there because they are sweet and seem to like the same books I do. Dirty ones! I took photos of my table but didn’t get to snap many photos of those around me.

Please check out some of the authors I did get to rub elbows with. I had dinner with Darlene Tallman and Liberty Parker. I finally got to meet the fabulous Lexi Blake, and I got the Faery series signed by her. Some authors I met who are newer to me are Kendra Moreno, Christina Berry, Sharla Wylde, and Kiersten Modglen. I bought books from Kendra and Christine, but haven’t had a chance since I got home to dig into them yet.

I want to thank Leigh M. Hall and Mariah Kingsley for hosting the event.

It Was Beautiful!

I don’t have much to update about WIPs this week since I spent most of the past week in The Bahamas. I haven’t worked on It Feels Like Home or JUMPER since my last update, although I intend to write today. So let me share photos of my trip with you here—a few more than I shared in my newsletter or Facebook for good measure. I hope you enjoy my travels and travails.

Firstly, I should explain that my husband was invited to take this trip through work. It was something he earned at work as a top performer. I was a plus one because my husband would lose an eye and a testicle if he suggested taking anyone else. It was basically all-inclusive and so very Gucci that I wanted to steal the cappuccino cups in my room, and if I weren’t Honest Ali, I might have. They were so very cute.
