I hate it! It sucks.

So I have what I thought was a stomach bug, but it’s turned into something more serious (not pregnant). I’ve been on a BRAT diet now since the 10th. I’m weak, tired, and foggy as hell. It’s killing my muse. I had this plan for 2024–but now I have two projects started, and neither is finished; one is due in a few weeks and is in its infancy.
I hate it.
My reading room and office lay unpacked. My house is only coming together with the help of family and the elbow grease of my husband. I can’t even.
It sucks.
So bear with, things are a touch delayed, but I will hopefully get this figured out with the help of the GP and gastroenterologist.

Read this now! Cambria Hebert’s Woah Rules!

Woah made my sides hurt and my heart melt. Westbrook Elite is one of my fav series by Cambria Hebert, and I know I say this every book, but this one surpassed the last!

The dynamic between the characters Jess and Ben (Kruger) is fantastic, and the situation and character growth give you warm fuzzies. I love the friends-to-lover trope and how Ben and Jess harbor this unrequited love for one another, and Ben makes his move in this most messed up way, both knuckleheaded and endearing.

There were cameos from former spotlight characters, so we could see the entire pack at play, and the compelling interaction is a reminder of why we fell in love with them all so much in the first place.

The world-building of the Westbrook Elite series is amazing, and from Wet to Woah, this series is just LOVE!

Celebrating Cambria’s new release WOAH!

Title: WHOA (Westbrook Elite #6)
Author: Cambria Hebert
Genre: Contemporary Sport Romance
Release Date: December 8, 2023

Most people think I’m a moron. In actuality, I’m a man with a plan.
It’s one of those three-year plans that takes longer than three years.
Still, I’ve been making it happen. Checking off those to-dos and turning them into to-dones.
Everything is almost lined up.
And then my phone rings.
By the time I get to Jess, she’s unconscious and bleeding.
My carefully crafted plan blows up in my face.
I tell the hospital we’re engaged. We aren’t, but apparently, in that place, you need a permission slip to see your most important, so I do what has to be done.
I toss together an epic apology salad for when she opens her eyes, and when she does…
She asks me who I am.
I’m willing to overlook the insult since, you know, head injury, but then Nurszilla spills the beans on our pending nuptials.
And just like that, my friend turns into my fiancé, and I’m not even mad at it.
How could I be? Her curves fit in my arms perfectly. Kissing her is like whoa and makes me forget I’m living a lie.
I know I have to come clean, but someone dirtier than me is stalking my final girl, and until she remembers who, it’s on me to keep her safe.
The closer we get, the guiltier I feel.
When all this is over, will she forgive me? Or will everything I’ve done cost me everything I’ve always wanted?

Featuring Author Kat Hausler’s What I Know About July!

Title: What I Know About July
Author: Kat Hausler
Genre: Mystery, Suspense, Contemporary Women
Release Date: October 31, 2023

Simon Kemper, recently out of rehab and experiencing moderate success with his band in Berlin, is haunted by a stalker. July appears at every show, sends numerous postcards to his label, and behaves as if she knows him well. Like she owns him. When she suddenly vanishes after one of his performances, Simon becomes the prime suspect. His initial goal is to clear his name, but as he searches for July, he begins a deeper psychological journey. The threads of July’s disappearance turn out to be tangled into every corner of Simon’s life: a trusted band member, a tenuous new love interest, a resentful ex, and the self he’s supposedly left behind. Narcissistic, insecure, and consummately relatable, Simon is the anti-hero of his own life—trying to want to be better; hoping that’s enough.

What In The Butt Update!

So a little bit of everything.

First of all. JUMPER is coming out November 14. ARCs are going to be available through Booksprout and my ARC Team starting on Friday the 3rd. Reviews will be due November 21. My beta readers all thought that this was a great but different read than all the other Somnolence books. It’s definitely a much darker tale, but I loved JUMPER’s backstory it begged to be told.

My life is a bit on end right now. My husband is a doer not a sit on his hand and think about things kind of guy. We talked for about five minutes regarding moving, and then the next thing I knew there was a sign on my front yard, a realtor in my home, and a scheduled open house.

To say I’m unprepared is an understatement. I’m releasing a book for goodness sakes. It’s not time to upheave my life and sell our house out from under me. And better yet than all that? He is sending me alone to buy a house across the country. His theory is that he bought this

So, bookwise, my plans for releases are all shook up and spun sideways. I was planning for a early January release of a YA/NA dystopian and I’m unsure when that is coming. I will be putting out a Somnolence novella definitely for February. But that is all I know right now. Nix’s book is out there in the wind. I don’t have a date for you. Not even the suggestion of one.

What I do have dates on are signings. Here are the places I will be and when.

R&W Seattle 2024 – July 20, 2024 – Website | Facebook | Tickets

Authors In The Steel City – September 28, 2024 – Facebook | Tickets

Yay for the release of Veils and Vampires!

Title: Veils and Vampires (Vampires of the Daemonverse #2)
Author: Cee Bee
Genre: Adult, Fantasy, Paranormal, Romance
Release Date: October 14, 2023

Highlander meets Twilight with a dash of Fifty Shades of Grey in this vampire romantasy…

Caelin MacGregor is an ancient king with a new love

Ages ago, I ruled a clan of vampire raiders. We were allies to the Vikings and enemies of the Rus. That life ended when the bloodkin plague wiped out all our women, including my beloved vampire bride, Elisava. A thousand years have passed. My heart remains empty. Then I see a human woman named Lexa. For the first time in ages, I feel true desire, respect and love. Could Lexa actually be a lost bloodkin lady … or is she a horrible trick from Pyri, the ancient fire goddess of the Rus raiders?

Lexa Uznetsov has a plan

To save my sister, Sash, I took on my father’s debt to Konstantin the Rus, leader of the New York Bratva. As a result, my life became a never-ending (and incredibly illegal) stakeout for the mob. After years of scheming, I’ve finally come up with a solid escape plan: find all three pieces of the infamous Veil Pendant. Once I reassemble this magical item, I’ll have the power to cure my sister … as well as the ability to say buh-bye to Konstantin. Sure, legends warn that reforming the Veil Pendant may bring about some nastiness called Pyri’s doomsday. Yet if it saves Sash, I’m willing to risk anything.

“Veils and Vampires is amazing! It has action and adventure and a little spicy. Enough that it makes you drool and want more. Honestly a totally different take on modern day vampire soulmates. I devoured this book in one sitting.” – Teresa, Goodreads

Vampires of the Daemonverse

1. Violins and Vampires
2. Veils and Vampires
3. Vixens and Vampires

I also work my butt off for the Grimm Wolves MC brothers, trying to prove myself as more than just a prospect. But even the toughest of the tough need to let loose every now and then. I know that more than anyone after the world of hurt I’ve experienced.

CELEE
A chance encounter in a chat room just may be the saving grace I’ve needed all along. My father’s enemies are closing in, and my time just might be running out. Thank God Dingo and his brothers will do anything to keep me safe–even if it means going up against the most vile of criminals around. But the more Dingo tries to protect me, the more I know he’s hurting too.

Can two fractured hearts find a way to heal together?

NOTE: This is book 7 in the Grimm Wolves MC series. It is a standalone however reading the previous books would give you a fuller understanding (back stories, minor characters, etc.) of the series. They are available below to request to review but not required to read before Fractured Hearts.

Also, Running Wild is also suggested to be read prior – as Fractured Hearts begins where this book left off.

Author: Shantel Tessier
Genre: Dark Revenge Romance

A PUPPET

The men in the secret society known as the Lords think they rule the world. And in a way, they do. Each has sold their soul to the devil at a young age in exchange for power and wealth. Like anything else, they have different levels of success. The more they’re willing to serve, the more power they have. Among them are the Spade brothers, who run Carnage. It’s where the Lords who have not held up their oath go to live out the rest of their lives in shackles.

Tucked away from the world as if they never existed.

I VOW. YOU VOW. WE VOW.

I once belonged to a Lord—Saint Beckham Carter. Although nothing was holy about him, I still kneeled as if he could grant me eternity in a world where only evil existed.

At the time, I willingly vowed to be his and allowed him to share me with his “brothers.” But things changed. And what I thought couldn’t get any better got exceptionally worse. So I did the only thing I could and ran from him, knowing I could never return.

Now he’s found me and dragged me back to his hell, where he will make me his pet. The world already thinks I’m dead, so no one will miss me. And I’m just another name on a long list of those who will never know freedom.
