Trust what you see, not what you’re told. In a society that made males obsolete, the Weave engineers a female’s abilities. Girls like Dinitra are engineered by Sowers and assigned their life purpose when they turn sixteen. But sometimes, the Sowers get things wrong. A resistance is growing. Rebels are fabricating humans of their own–including males–and plan to topple the Weave in a war that could destroy them all. When Dinitra is assigned a job with the Legion, she uncovers the ugliest secrets of the Weave. Her loyalty is tested when she’s captured by the rebels and develops a dangerous bond with a male warrior–a shameful crime that she may pay for with her life.
Fans of Neal Shusterman’sArc of a Scythe series and Alexandra Bracken’s “The Darkest Minds” series will delight in this heart-pounding adventure.
This typo made me laugh aloud, and my husband thought I was demented. I am demented, but give me a little credit. This wasn’t the only indication.
I am now on chapter 14 of my last draft. Next, it goes to betas, and then the final draft will be done before it goes to the formatter. I’m terribly excited now because JONAH is finally coming together. And this is how we come to a swirly…
It’s 5 a.m. and I’m the only one awake. Why are they all asleep? It’s time to open pressies! Oh my God, they are all lazy bones with the exception of Mitsy the Kitty who woke me up at 4:30 rattling my bedroom door and telling me it was time to get up and start writing. Kitty alarm clocks for the win, amirite?
So, RAIDEN is on sale right now! Only 99¢ until the 31st, you can’t beat that with a bat! Now’s your chance to slap this baby on your new Kindle!
Here today to celebrate the cover reveal of Cambria Hebert’s upcoming release Wish!
Title: Wish (Westbrook Elite #3) Author: Cambria Hebert Genre: MM Romance/ College Sports Romance/ Romantic Suspense/ New Adult Romance Release Date: January 10, 2023
For me, choice might as well be a wish. My parents died in a fiery car crash when I was barely sixteen. I’m gay. I’m also totally in love with my brother. I didn’t choose any of that. In fact, I’ve tried like hell to deny it. But here I am in all my gay, brother-loving, no-parentals glory. Technically, Max isn’t my brother. Not by blood anyway. That should make it less ick, right? Considering he calls my parents mom and dad, probably not. Also, did I mention he’s straight? So that’s me: the freestyle swimmer doing my best to keep my sexuality on the down-low while simultaneously wishing my feelings for Max will evaporate into thin air. Too bad he acts like he’s my keeper and my heart shakes every time his eyebrow ring glints in the sun or he levels his opaque stare on me with an intensity matched by nothing else. My desire to keep my personal life personal drowns at the bottom of the pool when a fellow Elite lets everyone in on my business, which throws Max into macho protective mode all over again. Enough is enough, though. I’m forcing myself to move on. Maybe the best way to forget about my forbidden crush is to find a new one. I have options. More than I realized. Unfortunately, none of them are leather-wearing, tattoo-sporting, motorcycle-riding grumpholes. So here I am wishing for Max while someone else wishes for me. Someone who decides if they can’t have me… No one will.
Please note that WISH contains homophobia. There is also mention of off-page child abuse and parental death. This book also contains a male/male sibling-esque relationship and mentions of male assault. Some readers may find these things uncomfortable.
I’m on chapter 27… hallelujah! I have two days to write 13,000 words to reach deadline… whhhhhhhat?
Yes, both are true. I just wrote the pivotal moment of the book where the story comes to a climax, and now I need a resolution. Okay, easy peasy–or it would be if I knew what came next. If I had any clue.
But I do have something for you. My Alpha reader Abbie found this shining exhibit of my ability to describe one eyebrow.
Oh, my goodness. I recovered from one illness just to get another. I’m trying to finish the first draft of JONAH, so I cry uncle on this bullshit. I need a break. But you know, it’s time for a little teasing, and I have something for you. It’s a snippet of Nix and Lizzy, whose relationship is akin to brother and sister and whom I love together in JONAH.
