Oh, look, I missed WIP Wednesday again. If I’m on time, I got there because I didn’t know what day it was. I will still apologize for being late because I’ll be assuming it’s the wrong day. Alas, today is genuinely Thursday, and I missed yesterday doing proofreading, so here is yesterday’s WIP.
I had plans of focusing only on JUMPER when May 1 hit. I had every intention of putting It Feels Like Home aside and working on only one thing, but I can’t seem to do that. I have plugged both projects into my Pacemaker Planner. The idea is to finish JUMPER by the end of this month and IFLH by the end of July. I’m a little off-kilter, though, because I’m at 5% of JUMPER and 21% of IFLH. That’s backward.
Lizzy is celebrating the release of her new book Alien Shadow Market! I can’t wait to dig into it!
Author: Lizzy Bequin Title: Alien Shadow Market (Sold to the Raksha #3) Genre: Sci-fi Romance, Alien Romance Release Date: April 28, 2023
Savannah thought she had a problem with authority. Then she met the Raksha.
Four purple-skinned warriors with faces like demons and bodies like gods. They rescued her from captivity and gave her a place to stay aboard their ship. There’s just one condition.
She has to play by their rules.
And the Raksha play for keeps.
The stern captain runs his ship with an iron fist—and a leather riding crop. Any female who gets on his bad side will find herself bent over and disciplined while the crew looks on.
But Savannah’s punishment isn’t even the most shameful part. It’s the way her body begs for more, even as her lips beg for mercy.
And when the discipline is finally over, that’s when the sharing begins.
Alien Shadow Marketis the third book in the Sold to the Raksha series. Each book in the series is a complete, self-contained romance, but together the books form an overarching saga. This story contains intense scenes and situations that might trigger some readers—please see the Author’s Note at the beginning of the book. No cheating, HEA guaranteed.
I don’t have much to update about WIPs this week since I spent most of the past week in The Bahamas. I haven’t worked on It Feels Like Home or JUMPER since my last update, although I intend to write today. So let me share photos of my trip with you here—a few more than I shared in my newsletter or Facebook for good measure. I hope you enjoy my travels and travails.
Firstly, I should explain that my husband was invited to take this trip through work. It was something he earned at work as a top performer. I was a plus one because my husband would lose an eye and a testicle if he suggested taking anyone else. It was basically all-inclusive and so very Gucci that I wanted to steal the cappuccino cups in my room, and if I weren’t Honest Ali, I might have. They were so very cute.
RENLEY is here, and it’s not a moment too soon. I feel like I waited forever. Check out Renley and Adder’s story. I think you will be satisfied, but remember, I recommend you start this series with book 1, RAIDEN, to get the entire story arc.
I am still trying to determine how I work on two projects without any major boo-boos, but I’ll take it. It’s like I’m suddenly touched by the gods with my ability to type, and I’d like to keep going with this trend, but alas, I’m about to head out on adventures.
RENLEY is a week away, and this is my last pre-teaser. Thank you, the.open.bookish.mom, for making my lovely teasers for the previous week and this week. You’ve been an amazing PA, and I will sadly miss you, but you will be a forever friend.

Celebrating Shantel Tessier’s new book The Sacrifice. I VOW. YOU VOW. WE VOW. Holy Cow!
Title: The Sacrifice Author: Shantel Tessier Genre: Dark College Romance Release Date: April 7, 2023
HIS LADY
A Lord is to marry after he graduates from Barrington University, an elite college for the rich. A Lady’s job is to help him fit into a world unaware of his secret society. The Lord does not get to choose who he spends the rest of his life with. But there is always an exception to the rule. And I just so happen to be his.
I VOW. YOU VOW. WE VOW.
I was to wed a Lord of my parents’ choosing. Wealth can’t buy you everything, or I would have had freedom years ago. Instead, my strict parents made sure I lived
a dull life in a mansion resembling a prison.
But on my wedding day, I was handed over to another man—an even more
ruthless Lord that my family hated.
Tyson Riley Crawford only wanted me for his revenge. I’m nothing more than a debt to be paid. I didn’t have a say in the matter. So when I said my vows before the congregation, I knew I’d break them. Consequences be damned. Too bad I underestimated my husband and didn’t realize he was more determined to punish me than I was to succeed at escaping. He’ll make me
choke on those words I used to bind myself to him.
Yet even he couldn’t have seen what our future held. Ultimately, we’re all just pawns in a game that none of us can win unless you’re willing to pay the ultimate
I had been feeling better for about three weeks and only had my voice back for two days before I got sick again. My husband gave me his cooties again. I know, I know… this is divorce-level bullshit.
RENLEY went to the formatter yesterday. He should be going to ARC readers next Tuesday. It’s very exciting. Somehow, after all the delays, he is on track for his release date. I will be honest; I didn’t think it would happen.
For today’s WIP typo, I have a name boo-boo. I may have confused Ronan’s name with the word Roadmap. He didn’t hold it against me, thankfully.
